Ceramic glass, or more known as fireplace glass, is not tempered glass contrary to popular belief. Tempered glass should never be used in fireplaces, stove covers, in furnaces. Although the tempering process provides the glass with a certain resistance to heat, it is very likely to explode in sudden temperature changes. Ceramic glass on the other hand is a glass produced entirely for these products and has high conductivity. In this way, it is successful in transferring heat from your fireplace to the room.
